With inputs from multiple sources on how music is experienced, I would like to build my listening constructs by attempting to recognise and understand (build cognition) a raga through listening and reflection.
Raga: Brindavana Saranga, chose this as Ranga Puravihara is my all-time favourite and I had never looked up the raga until now. Want to engage with the raga at a deeper level (experiences set up to incorporate Peirce's listening and sensing definitions).
Arohanam: S R2 M1 P N3 S Avarohanam: S N2 P M1 R2 G2 S
It is believed that Lord Krishna himself had created this raga and hence there are large number of songs in praise of the Gokula Bala in this raga. The strong connection to the Mathura region could be inferred from the name itself.

The discipline of the fine arts, particularly music, is not, however, excluded from religion; but it is explained as only a useful aid to success in meditation of the highest. Hiriyanna
